Did high school in Naperville, Illinois. Nickname: "Singapore." Graduated Beloit College, 1978. Spent 12 years hitchhiking the country, writing poetry & activist journalism, edited several publications. Married Dawn Aura in 1990 (and again in 1991, this time in a church). Settled in Atlanta, Georgia. Worked 20 years for New Leaf Distributing, a book wholesaler, editing catalogs & weekly newsletter, plus coordinating recycling. Published 2 books of poetry & a novel, Free Ralph!, performed poetry, worked with more activist publications. Laid off in 2010, employed at Sevananda since then. Currently serving on boards of Lake Claire Community Land Trust, a greenspace in my neighborhood, and Nuclear Watch South. Still coordinating recycling at New Leaf . . .
