I ended up finishing HS in Dayton, OH -- culture shock after Singapore! Then I went to 3 colleges is 3.5 yrs, worked at NIH and then as a field biologist shortly, then went to the military medical school. I got a Harvard fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology, then finished my active-duty USAF commitment of 7 additional years. Over the next dozen years I worked in New Orleans, Tampa, the Middle East (deployed Reservist -- Critical Care Air Transport Team leader), then Sicily as a clinical professor of UPMC. I helped start up a new pediatric organ transplantation program there. Then I moved back to FL, and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I was quadriplegic within 3 years, so I went back to grad school (online) and now teach Health Informatics.
