School Story:
I had the best of times when I lived in Singapore. I lived first with Nancy Itz and her family at #2 Daley Rd., then I lived at Mr. Fisher's house (our principal) with Dianne Walker and Carmen Onstad, and finally at Cairncourt. I remember drinking beer in the movie theater my last year at SAS. We had a great time at the American Club bowling and just hanging out there with Kathy Ricker, Jacque Swindle, Dianne Walker, Jimmy Lytton and many others. We took taxi's almost everywhere and I pretty much did what I pleased, especially when I lived at Cairncourt! I was crazy about Gary Speir, who promptly dumped me after he went on home leave! Dianne and I met 2 English boys who were in the Navy. We used to ride all over Singapore with them on the back of their motorcycles...that was great fun. Nancy Itz and I went to a cocktail party (with her parents) and met Mike Todd and Elizabeth Taylor...so exciting for us. Even more exciting was when we got to go aboard an aircraft carrier when the 7th fleet was in....all those sailors! My brother Steve went to SAS after I left, but he tells me he got kicked out of the school. Wondering if this was a true story or if my father decided he had too much freedom and yanked him out of there!
